Friday 27 June 2025 Y2 are invertebrates experts! Y2 had a fantastic visit to London Zoo. We explored the ‘Tiny Giants' zone, marvelling at the variety of invertebrates before choosing one each to focus on, in preparation for our non-chronological reports. We then explored the zoo and were lucky enough to see lots of fascinating animals up close.

Thursday 26 June 2025 Year 4 Camping Adventure! Year 4's georgraphy-led topic this term is 'Survival'. Using map-reading skills and carrying all their own equipment they have set off on their own adventure (navigating not too far, just to an Epping Forest campsite). They will spend the night there, collecting wood for the campfire, eating food they make themselves, exploring and having lots of fun!

Thursday 19 June 2025 Year 6 at the Zoo! Year 6 had a fantastic day the Zoo, learning about the adaptations of various different animals and how they may have evolved. We were captivated by the slow sloths, the leaping lemurs, the giant gorillas and the spindly spiders. Although it may have been a hot day, we finished our journey off by observing the pegnuins!

Thursday 22 May 2025 Astrazeneca meets Year 3! This week, we were visited by real-life scientists who taught us about how to use pipettes, how make sure that we are conducting a fair test and how to mix colours. The children had a blast and were being very precise by the end of the workshop!

Wednesday 21 May 2025 Evolution at the Natural History Museum Today, Year 6 visited the Natural History Museum to learn about evolution, adaptation and inheritance. During our trip, we learned about dinosaurs, observed fossils, read about Mary Anning (an English fossil collector and palaeontologist) and also had a workshop in which we thought about the adaptations of modern-day animals!

Tuesday 6 May 2025 PE at EP - Spring Term Highlights PE is very special at Eleanor Palmer - with Coach Martin teaching every class and offering a wide range of sport to suit every sporting interest. In Spring Term children enjoyed badminton, cricket and gymnastics in addition to the ever popular dodgeball, football and multi-sports. Children worked hard to beat their own personal bests in the 3-lap challenge and two more classes headed to Kentish Town Pool for swimming lessons.

Tuesday 6 May 2025 Year 3 trip to Waitrose Cookery School Today we went to the Waitrose Cookery school to learn how to make spicy bean burgers. The children identified different spices, mashed beans, fried their burgers and enjoyed the spoils!

Thursday 1 May 2025 EP perform at The Royal Albert Hall Our Year 6 children joined the Camden Schools Music Festival to sing together with 2000 children from all across Camden. They were accompanied by four children from Years 4 and 5 who played violin with the orchestra. We are so proud that one of our Year 6 children was selected in auditions from hundreds of applicants to sing a solo on the stage! What an incredible opportunity to perform in such a special venue and such a joyous experience for everyone in the audience to be uplifted by children's music and voices in harmony.

Tuesday 25 March 2025 Year 2 Visit the Charles Dickens Museum Last week, we travelled back to the Victorian times and had great fun exploring the former residence of Charles Dickens. This was the place in which Oliver Twist was written and saw his actual writing table and chair! It was amazing to walk around a real Victorian house setting – really bringing our learning to life. Climbing up and down all the floors and seeing the different rooms and their purpose was fascinating.

Friday 21 March 2025 Learning about plants in Regent’s Park Year 1 spent the morning learning about trees and plants in Regent’s Park. James from the Field Studies Centre helped us consolidate our science learning on what plants need to grow.

Thursday 20 March 2025 Year 2 Assembly What a wonderful performance at our Year 2 assembly today. Thank you to all the parents and carers who were able to come and watch. It was lovely to see how much deep knowledge the children have cemented in their history topic about the Victorians this term.
