Apply for Eleanor Palmer Nursery!

We are welcoming applications to our Nursery class September 2026 until the end of February.

We have a single intake in September for children aged 3-4 years - our September 2026 intake is for children with dates of birth between 01/09/2022 and 31/08/2023. There are sometimes also occasional places through the year.

We offer a full-time Nursery (after a settling-in period) and this is a term-time provision only.

Nursery is led by a qualified teacher and was judged Ofsted Outstanding in 2023. Our Nursery class have their own playground and classroom, but join the whole school at points thoughout the week and are very much part of Eleanor Palmer School. Children enjoy PE lessons from our specialist sports coach, music with our music lead and work with our resident artist on a topic-led art project.

Nursery is very play-based, blending child initiated play and adult-led activities. The curriculum is thoughtfully planned in line with the Early Years Framework and topics draw upon past and present, on people, cultures and communities and on the natural world. The teaching is sequenced to allow children to build their learning cumulatively and to give them the best start as they transition into Reception.

All children in our Nursery are entitled to 15 hours a week of free education. A further 15 hours is funded by the Free Childcare for Working Parents scheme if eligible and, if you are a Camden resident and entitled to certain benefits, by the Camden Enhanced Offer.
