Whole School Newsletter 6 February 2026
What a winning combination of numbers and fun last night at Bingo! With thanks to everyone who supported and made this such a joyous event. You raised £2002 profit!
Congratulations to all our winners - lucky Kassidy who won £50, and to teacher Denna who won the £100 bonus round! This was a wonderful surprise as the winning number was purchased for her by a family - perfectly reflecting this week’s life skill; kindness. Another lovely gesture was the gift of 100 drink cans left over from a family celebration. We are truly grateful for the many different ways our families support and show kindnesses. These actions set such a wonderful example for our children and strengthen our community.
It’s been another busy week of trips - deepening understanding and connection to learning. Year 6 headed to the CLC, Year 2 to Clocktower Park, Year 3 Hampstead Heath and Year 5 to The Natural History Museum.
Next week:
It’s Safer Internet Week! Look out for more information about what the children are learning in next week’s newsletter!

PTA News
Help make ideas happen!
Our brilliant PTA committee - Andrea, Ben, Astrid, Marta and Lucy - organise all the amazing events such as last night’s Bingo and the Summer Fair, confirmed for Saturday 4th July. So many other great ideas have been put forward, but we really need volunteers to make these a reality. Are you able to take a lead or help?
- Eco-warriors - help us reuse, recycle or take on a job that means a little more effort for a lot of waste saved.
- Vinted / EBay - help us make the most of the amazing donations from our EP community!
- Creative crew - can you join a team to work on projects with friends and family to make beautiful items (including jams/chutney - always popular) for sale at our fairs to help raise vital funds?
- DJ - whether you’re a pro or just enjoy building a playlist, bring the tunes to a PTA event near you!
This list is growing. If you’re able to help with any of these, or have other ideas you can help deliver, please do get in touch.
Keeping it EP with Fish Tank Treasures
A massive thank you to everyone who took home a change collection jar for Keep It EP from the Winter Fair. Thanks to your generosity, our first count reached an amazing £269.86. This filled the tank in the office and was counted by our Reception mathematicians (we’re always looking for a learning opportunity!). With the Gift Aid Small Donations Scheme, that total jumps to £337.32 — and with a possible match-funding offer, it could be doubled!
Please keep those coin jars coming in or pop into the office to collect one. Every donation makes a difference — big or small, including old notes and coins, and both sterling and non-sterling currency. What a fantastic start!
After many years on the PTA committee - organising countless events and cake sales, creating unforgettable turkey buns and with bountiful baking - Francis has stepped down from the PTA. With many thanks for all the hours given, money raised, and for showing our children that school and community truly matter.
EP Cookbook
Thank you for the recipes shared so far, which include some delicious Brazilian, French, Ethiopian and Turkish dishes. But we need many more - a family favourite, a traditional dish, a simple mid-week meal or a celebratory special dish - we’d love to include a variety of recipes, sweet or savoury. The only recipes we can’t accept are those that are copyrighted by other chefs.
There have been several EP cookbooks over the years and one of our parents who attended EP still treasures her copy! We hope that in addition to discovering some tasty new recipes, the cookbook will be a lovely keepsake of an EP childhood.
Please submit your recipe using the EP Cookbook form here
World Book Day - Thursday 5th March
There will be lots of fun events going on in school to celebrate our love of books and reading. As is traditional, children and grown ups are encouraged to dress up as their favourite book character. This is optional and certainly not a competition! After half-term some parents have kindly offered to host a costume-swap in the upper playground. The exact details are to follow, but if you have an outgrown/ unwanted costume or props (think wands, wigs or wizard hats) please hang onto them to bring to the swap!
We will also be inviting children to decorate a potato as their favourite book character to bring in on 5th March.
Guidelines:
- use a real potato as the base
- decorations only (no cooking required!)
- please include your child’s name somewhere on the potato
We can’t wait to see all the spudtacular book characters!
Royal Academy Young Artists’ Competition
We have registered EP for the RA Young Artists' Exhibition. Competition winners show their work in the online gallery and previous EP artists have been chosen to exhibit at the The Royal Academy itself. The artwork can be made using any medium. It can be a painting, sculpture, photograph, installation, video, drawing or a combination. Open to ages 4 – 19 years, contact Sophie in Reception, sophie@eleanorpalmer.camden.sch.uk by Tuesday 24th February to submit. Send with a short description including title, size, and a little about the artwork and why you made it. A great half-term project?! https://youngartists.royalacademy.org.uk/
