Our UNICEF Day for Change 2016!

What a fantastic day! We asked for ‘your change to make a change’ ….

We wore rainbow colours to reflect our rainbow world: all part of the whole yet different.

Our focus was on Syrian refugee camps and supporting UNICEF’s work to create safe water sources in their refugee camps. Our target was £500 as this is the cost of installing a safe water source. By 3.30pm our count had reached £539 and we had run out of money bags! Watch this space.

During the day we tried to re-create just some sense of being without the most basic needs: building shelters, learning how to make fire, games with pebbles, carrying heavy water containers and making play things out of junk. Lunch was a bowl of plain rice.

Thanks to everyone for your support. Everything we raise will be doubled by the UK government.
