In class, Year 5 used artefacts from the Thames foreshore to travel back in time – all the way from the Roman era up to the present day! The Thames Discovery Programme lent us boxes of artefacts from their collection and we used some handy guides to sort the objects into the time period in which they were made.
The week after, we went to the Thames foreshore to see what we could discover for ourselves! We found so much and we were great at being able to identify which historical era it came from! Thank you to Claire from the Thames Discovery Programme who led the session!
