On Thursday, Mr Williams from Holy Trinity & St Silas came in to run a fantastic drama workshop with Year 6. We warmed up with some fun games – can you spot the photos of Year 6 pretending to be in a rock band and winning the lottery? We then got into role as British people on September 3rd 1939, listening to the wireless and hearing the devastating news that Britain was once again at war. We will use our memories and photos from this session to feed into our English work, writing newspaper reports about the outbreak of war, and include quotes from the characters we played to show their reactions at the time.
