We had such an exciting week last week learning all about non-Newtonian fluids! These are amazing fluids that sometimes have properties that make them act like a solid but at other times have properties that make them act like a liquid. We were very intrigued to understand HOW this happened and under what conditions but also WHY this happened and what was it that gave it these properties? It was such a fun experiment as we created our very own ‘oobleck’ using cornstarch flour and water to create this semi-liquid, semi-solid gloop – we did make quite a mess but it was very fun!
