Fish Art!

As part of our topic ‘Am I an Animal?’ Year 1 have been learning all about Fish!

Miss Yaffe brought a variety of fish from the fishmongers. We spent some time observing the fish – looking at the patterns, colours and textures.

First, we did a chalk, charcoal and graphite pen 5-minute sketch on white cartridge paper. This allowed us to get used to the different materials.  These were observational drawings – we looked closely at what we were drawing.

The we did a longer chalk, charcoal and graphite pen drawing on black paper. LOOK AT OUR WONDERFUL PICTURES!! 

They will be up in the classroom very soon!
