We went on a trip yesterday to the cemetery to look at the effects of different types of weathering on the gravestones. The effects varied, largely due to the positioning of the gravestones, but also because of the types of rocks that were used to make them. The main rocks we saw being used were sandstone, limestone, marble, slate and granite.
