Year 3 worked in the Lab today, taking a first look at magnets. We learnt which metals are magnetic (can you name all three?) and have begun to plan an experiment to find the strongest magnet from Mr G’s assorted magnets! Can you figure out how the paperclip is ‘floating’? Why not try making it at home – you will need a piece of cotton, some sticky tape, a paperclip, a box, something to hold the box up (it doesn’t have to be made of Lego!) and another mystery item to put inside the box (I bet you can’t guess what it is!)
