As part of our science work on microbes and microorganisms, Year 6 investigated viruses in the lab this week! We shared our knowledge of how viruses spread and agreed that the best way to stop this is hand washing, but we needed to test how effective we were. Children agreed to test different levels of hand washing, including with and without soap and for different lengths of time. We used UV powder and lights to test how much a virus could spread – and were horrified with the results!
