Y1 at St Paul’s Cathedral

We went on a class trip to St Paul’s Cathedral and had a guided tour! We learnt that today’s St Paul’s is the fifth version of the cathedral which was built after the Great Fire of London in 1666 which began in Thomas Farriner’s bakery on Pudding Lane. We learnt that Christopher Wren was the architect and is buried in the crypt. We saw the Geometric Staircase which appears in many of our favourite films such as Harry Potter and Paddington! We climbed 528 steps to the Golden Gallery and spotted so many famous London landmarks.
