Are you interested in Training to Teach? Here in Camden we run our own outstanding primary teacher training programme (PGCE) in conjunction with UCL/IOE where you will get the chance to train in fantastic Camden schools.
We are currently recruiting for entry in September 2019!
We offer the School Direct (Non-Salaried) route only, because we believe that gaining a good grounding of the theory behind teaching will give you a better springboard into your teaching career. You finish your training year with us with a PGCE from the UCL Institute of Education (which also counts as 60 Master’s Degree points), Qualified Teacher Status, and a good knowledge of all of our 12 partner schools here in Camden, putting you a step ahead of all other candidates when it comes to securing that all important NQT position!
We recognise that the various options for routes into teaching today are confusing, and making the right decision about which teacher training programme works for you can be tricky, so we would love to tell you more about our programme, and where it sits within the options available at our next Open Morning – on Friday 14th December 9.30am-11.30am at Eleanor Palmer Primary School, Lupton St, London NW5 2JA. To book your place or for more information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 020 7485 2155.
Full details of the Open Morning can also be found on the government’s Train to Teach site: https://getintoteaching.education.gov.uk/teaching-events/training-provider-events/171101-london-primary-train-to-teach-open-morning
We will also be at the following Get Into Teaching recruitment fair next spring. Attendance is free at all of these events, and we would love to meet you for a chat if you are considering a teaching career in London!
