Year 4 welcomed Dan from the Royal Institution, who gave us two incredible workshops. In the first one, Feel The Power, he showed us some of the famous experiments that Michael Faraday and other scientists have carried out in their research into electricity. We even went back to Ancient Greece to find out where we get the word ‘electricity’ from… In the second workshop, Explosive Food, Dan guided us through the journey of food from our mouth to…the other end! We also found out how scientists measure the energy inside your food, and how much of a chocolate bar you would need to eat to give you the energy required for 10 jumps!
