We have been learning about materials in Year 2 so today we looked at how you can make weak materials strong.  Year 2 were challenged to build a flag pole for a pirate flag using paper.  I was looking for groups who built a tall flagpole, an interesting structure and children who worked well in a team.  The children worked really well together and came up with a variety of results.  Our second challenge was to do the same using spaghetti and marshmallows, it was really STICKY!!
