St Paul’s and Monument

We had an amazing trip to St Paul’s and Monument this week. We saw so many wonderful statues, paintings and artefacts in the crypt, like Christopher Wren’s measure stick and pen knife! We walked around the magnificent cathedral taking in the sights, marvelling at its size and beauty. We then acted out scenes from the Great Fire of London with leather buckets and wigs!

After lunch we made the long climb up the 528 steps to visit the Whispering Gallery, Stone Gallery and Golden Gallery to take in a 360 degree view of London.

Our journey didn’t finish with the descent, we walked the length of the Great Fire back to Pudding Lane and Monument where it had all begun. We were all quite exhausted by the time we got back to school.
