We had a wonderful day at the National Portrait Gallery. We went to look at the portraits of kings and queens to get inspiration for our own royal portraits. We noticed lots of gold and red in the Tudor portraits and we loved the elaborate frames. We had a go at drawing our favourite portraits; most of us liked the painting of Queen Elizabeth I the best. We had a quick peek in the 20th Century Gallery to have a look at the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
