It wasn’t a dry hot day like September 2nd but it was windy…today we witnessed just how quickly the fire would have spread from house to house back in 1666. We saw how when the houses were so close and the wind blew the fire would change direction from one side to the other and there was no stopping it until we made a fire break…and the rain came! Just before we all had to shelter inside from the downpour we were lucky enough to see a beautiful rainbow. We wondered if they had seen one too back on the 5th and final day of the Great Fire of London.
