Inspired by our work on the wonderful novel, ‘The Invention of Hugo Cabret’, Year 5 had an amazing workshop today where we learnt lots of information about automata as well as new skills!

We learnt lots about cam mechanisms which we then used to create our own moving robots. We even linked them together and they were able to move at the same time at the turn of just one handle! We had a great day and everyone went home feeling very inspired!
