Year 2 have been reading the Greek myth ‘Arachne and Athena’ – a story about a woman called Arachne who challenged Athena to a weaving contest and won! In her jealousy – Athena changed Arachne into a spider who would have to weave beautiful webs forever more, only to have them destroyed by people! So you can imagine our surprise when we came in this morning to find our playground covered in webs
