EP Highlights

What a lovely way to finish our half term! We had a fabulous disco last night - a huge thank you to Jen and our amazing PTA for organising such a brilliant event and raising much needed funds for the school; we’ll share the final total once it’s all been counted.

There’s been plenty happening beyond the classroom, with our girls’ and boys’ football squads enjoying matches against teams from our partner school, Hawley, Year 6 visiting The Orangery Farm to explore innovative approaches to UK farming as part of their Human Planet topic, and Year 1 heading to the Heath to look for signs of autumn.

Author Massimo Fenati visited this afternoon to talk about his Piripenguin books to Years 1-3, before Year 2 joined a live-draw of his characters!

Thank you for all of your generous Harvest Festival donations, which will be going to support our local foodbank.

We hope everyone has a wonderful half term break and look forward to welcoming the children back on Tuesday 3rd November, following our INSET day on the Monday.

Best wishes,

Sally and Natalie

Info and News

Christmas Designs

Your children are bringing home their Christmas card designs - please check book bags. There are no copies of the artwork, so do keep the form safe.

  • On the reverse of the artwork form are two sections headed Parent/Guardian - please complete these.
  • Return the artwork to school by Thursday 5th November (for collection on the morning of Friday 6th).
  • Once received back at the card company, they will contact you with an order link via the email/text number you provided. From here you can place your order and make payment.
  • Please place your order within the order deadline in your email/text, so that your items are shipped for free to school. Orders placed after the deadline incur a shipping fee.
  • Delivery time is usually 3 weeks.
  • The school receives £1 from every product sold!

The artwork can be turned into beautiful cards, poster calendars, mugs, gift labels, tea towels, snow-globes, keyrings and fridge magnets! The product range and prices are linked here

Winter Concert - Tuesday 8th December

Please save the date for our much loved Winter Concert which will be held on Tuesday 8th December! This year we will be holding the concert here at Eleanor Palmer whilst Acland Burghley undergoes renovations on their hall. We will hold two identical performances, one at 9:30am for parents of children in EYFS and KS1 and another at 2pm for KS2 parents. We ask that parents, wherever possible, stick to these arrangements to help us manage numbers.

New Chef and New Menu

This week we welcomed our new chef Marlon who has worked for Caterlink for many years. Having spent 8 years at his last school he takes on a long-term position with us. After half-term the lunch menu also changes over the winter months. The new menu has been shared via email and is also on our website
