Whole School Newsletter 21 November 2025
Thank you for the entries into the Winter Fair artwork competition, so many creative ideas! The winning entry is Cora - we loved all her detail of fair activities, children at play and bold colours. We look forward to seeing her artwork turned into posters and banners!
Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 basketball squad who competed against 16 other Camden schools this week. Both teams qualified for the cup competition, with girls taking 2nd place and boys 3rd. More silverware for the overflowing cupboard!
Thank you to parents who joined the lunch taster session on Wednesday. Parents sampled the mild vegetarian chilli and beef lasagne from the menu. The lunch Menu is on a 3 week cycle and can be found on the website, with week 1 coming up.
Year 4 had a chilly, but fascinating workshop at Gunnersbury Park to understand the lives of Stone Age people, study artefacts and test hunting tools. Year 2 visited The October Gallery, learned about Ghanaian artist El Anatsui and made artwork based on memories.
We have been absolutely thrilled by the record number of pupils who auditioned to be poetry reciters in our Winter Concert. Their enthusiasm shows growing confidence, a wonderful willingness to represent our school and a strong sense of belonging that enables them to step forward. It has also been wonderful to see our work on oracy come to life so vividly. We will let the children know who will be reciting this year— a tough decision given the high standard—in the coming weeks. Thank you for supporting your children to do this!
