KS1 & 2 Classteacher for September 2026
Classteacher Opportunities for September 2026 - KS1 and KS2 Main Pay Scale (UPS welcome to apply)
We are looking to appoint excellent class teachers to join Hawley Primary School and Eleanor Palmer Primary School from September 2026. As part of our partnership approach, we are running a joint recruitment process and are seeking strong candidates who share our values, our passion for primary teaching and our commitment to providing the best possible education for every child in our community.
Hawley and Eleanor Palmer Schools
Our schools are built on collaboration and innovation, with a drive to make teaching and learning exceptional. At Eleanor Palmer, children benefit from a science lab and thoughtfully designed outside spaces. At Hawley, we have a light-filled building in the heart of Camden. Both schools provide unique and inspiring spaces in which adults and children share a love of learning and a strong sense of belonging.
Each of our schools benefits from a curriculum shaped over years of experience and expertise, and based on a principle of making deep connections across subjects to spark curiosity and excitement. Learning comes to life through the strengths of our dedicated staff, who are driven to improve children’s lives through education. You would be joining a reflective teaching team that is committed to continual learning. We offer high-quality professional development within our partnership, and through our well-established links with local and national networks, including our leadership of Camden’s Primary Maths Hub.
At both schools, we have:
- a socially and ethnically diverse inclusive school community in which no child is left behind and children are excited to learn;
- a commitment to developing Oracy across the curriculum, from Nursery to Year 6 and beyond.
- a collaborative team in which all voices are heard and there are high levels of trust;
- a calming sensory space and plans to further develop our spaces;
- a commitment to enrichment, including specialist art, music and PE teachers, and a wide variety of trips and residentials, which deepen children’s knowledge;
- well established partnerships and professional development links: Camden Learning, the IOE, NCETM. Eleanor Palmer is an Associate School in the EEF North London Alliance Research School.
- an engaged whole school community with traditions and special events; and
- very good public transport links moments away - Northern Line, Thameslink and Overground stations.
We actively look for a diverse staff team and we value the diversity of thought that this brings to our learning community and to our pupils. We are committed to our anti-racist strategy, to being fair and inclusive, and to being a place where everyone wants to work, remain and progress, irrespective of race, gender, disability or religion.
We will be conducting a joint application and interview process across Hawley and Eleanor Palmer. This allows us to match successful candidates to the most suitable available posts across the partnership, and we will discuss likely roles and locations with shortlisted candidates at interview.
Location
We will work with successful candidates to identify the best fit for them and for the schools. The location of each of our schools is:
Eleanor Palmer Primary School, Lupton Street, London NW5 2JA

We strongly encourage visits to our schools if you are thinking of applying. Tours will give you the opportunity to meet Hawley’s Head of School and the Executive heads at Hawley and Eleanor Palmer, and to learn more about our schools.
