Year 5 and Year 6 were so lucky to have had a visit from acclaimed author Elle McNicoll. She talked to us about her story and how she became an author, and then more to Year 5 about the inspirations behind her first book, A Kind of Spark, which we have been reading as our class novel (Elle even read us a chapter!) and producing some writing inspired by it too.
After school, the wonderful Children’s Bookshop in Muswell Hill were on hand to sell copies of all three of Elle’s books and Elle stayed to sign them. It was such an inspirational afternoon!
