As part of our work on reversible and irreversible reactions, Year 6 have been experimenting with Plaster of Paris! We got stuck in – testing the plaster’s reaction when mixed with water, making predictions about how the temperature might change. The class was divided! Would it cool as the mixture set? Heat up as the reaction took place? Or maybe stay constant? Our results showed an exothermic reaction was taking place!
