Year 3 go to the Charles Dickens Museum

What better way to celebrate the end of lockdown than with a visit to the Charles Dickens Museum!  Year 3 had a fascinating tour around Charles Dicken’s home.  Amongst other things, we discovered that there was a hedgehog in the kitchen to eat bugs; that Charles Dickens wrote under the pseudo name ‘Boz’ and that the Christmas pudding was cooked in the washing copper!  Our guides at the museum were very impressed with the children’s enthusiasm and knowledge.
