Year 1 Egyptian Experts at the British Museum

Today we headed to The British Museum.

After a term of learning about Egyptian history, their social structure, religious beliefs, important symbols and ways of life we loved seeing this knowledge reflected in the real artefacts.

We looked at Sarcophagi, mummy’s, canonic jars, jewellery, chairs, boats, paints, tools, fishing nets, statues, temple wall and of course the Rosetta Stone.

Year 1 were so impressive being able to look at all these objects to discuss what they showed and how they linked into our learning. They have become expert Egyptian historians!
