Year 1 at the British Museum

On the last week of the Spring term Year 1 visited the British Museum in search of everything Egyptian!

We learnt all about the daily life of the Ancient Egyptians, the Pharaohs, the Gods and Goddesses, mummification, artefacts and symbols…and this was our chance to see it in real life!

We saw statues, scarab beetles and jewels! We saw clothes, paintings and boats! We saw toys, chairs and mummies! It was brilliant! We even saw a mummified crocodile!
