Year 5 spent the day exploring London Zoo, hunting for animals from all over South America. We discovered lots and lots of different species, some of which are, unfortunately, endangered in the wild. In our workshop in the Rainforest Classroom, we found out about the four different layers of the rainforest (forest floor, understorey, canopy and emergent layer) and how different rainforest animals are adapted to live there. There was so much to see – check out the pictures for a little flavour of what we discovered!
