UNICEF Day for Change 2015

On Friday 22nd May EP held it’s annual DAY FOR CHANGE.  This year we thought about all children’s right to an education and how in many places and for many reasons this can be difficult.  We know UNICEF are currently dropping ‘schools in a box’ into Nepal due to the devastation caused by the earthquake.  To mark the occasion each classroom of mixed age children had a box delivered which held a mixture of objects – including one with a live rabbit! – and the teacher and children had to be creative in using the objects to deliver educational activities for the morning.  The children spent the morning creating plays, learning cat’s cradle, gathering nature, reciting poetry and lots more.  We wanted to raise enough money to send four boxes (around £500) but actually raised £707!!!!!!  We had a fabulous day and are thankful for everyone’s generosity.
