After Year 5 drew the organs some of the team had a closer look – dissecting them!

We discovered:

• The Liver is the biggest organ inside the body.
• The Heart is a very hard and strong muscle.
• Inside the Lungs you can see the tubular branches called the Bronchi.
• You can see the veins and arteries inside the Heart.
• There is a lot of fat – but it plays an important role protecting all the major organs.

There was also a sheep’s head – we were amazed by the teeth, tongue and eyes.
