Hieroglyphics and Cartouche

Year 1 have learnt about the important discovery of the Rosetta stone – and how it led to cracking the Hieroglyphs code!

We all wrote the alphabet in Hieroglyphics and then worked out how to write our own name.

Everyone made a Cartouche out of clay. We added our initials in Hieroglyphics, painted and varnished.

Our spectacular Cartouches are display in our classroom!
