Today Team 6 were visited by Carl from the Ministry of Chocolate! We learnt all about the history and geography of chocolate and its origins. Carl also told us lots about Fair Trade chocolate and how the organisation works to not only ensure fair pay for farmers in poor areas whose sole income is cocoa beans, but also how the organisation provides facilities for these areas. We did product testing, constructed our own chocolates and learnt about chocolate transfers (tattoos!) We learnt about the whole process from farm to shop – it was a fantastic day!
