Nursery were so lucky to have a visit from Jon Sayers, the author of the picture book Animals on the Underground (and Zed’s Uncle), today. He came in and read his story to the children, who were absolutely captivated! He explained how the characters in the story came from the different patterns that the lines make on the tube map. We met the elephant “Elephant and Castle”, the emu “High Barnet” and the dog “Barking”! What animals can you find on the London Underground map?
