Nursery are enjoying the story of Icarus this week.  Icarus’ father, Daedalus, was an inventor who built the labyrinth under King Minos’ palace.  This is one reason Daedalus and Icarus  were locked up.  Nursery had so much fun building mazes using the big bricks, they then programmed the BeeBot to go through the maze until it came to the monster!  This week we learnt how to make the BeeBot turn corners so it could get to the Minotaur.  We also had to estimate how far to programme the BeeBot forward.  Some children were great at estimating by using their hands to try and measure the distance!
