We have had SUCH fun at our Pirate Day! Everybody came dressed up and Year 2 was full of pirates, captains, mermaids and even a parrot! We had a huge treasure hunt (and of course we shared our treasure fairly!) After that we played lots of pirate games before welcoming our parents into our classroom for a pirate performance of sea shanties and a range of pirate activities! These included a huge treasure hunt, make your own Jolly Roger, try a ship’s biscuit, make a pirate hat and learn to talk like a pirate as well as a huge table groaning with pirate food and grog!
