Philosophy Day 2014

This Thursday, Sophie took a group of Year 6 children with Miriam, our philosophy teacher, on a Philosophy Bus Tour of London with other pupils from around London.

They started off at Covent Garden followed by a stop at the Thames, the Tate and finally, Speakers’ Corner. They considered many questions, including: ‘what is nature?’, ‘what is beauty?’, ‘is it always wrong to… walk on the grass, pick a leaf from a tree, cut a tree down?’ and ‘can you step in the same river twice?’ What do you think?

A brilliant day with many thoughtful, well-formed opinions from all the children! Thank you to Miriam for inviting us and for the stimulating philosophy lessons that all of Year 6 have enjoyed this term!
