We did it!!

Latest News! Friday 29th April 2016

We are delighted and proud to announce that we have passed our £14,000 target! Coupled with a PTA donation and money from the school budget it means the installation of 120 solar panels will go ahead this July. Huge thanks to staff, parents, pupils and the local community for all the fantastic support.

The total cost of the panels is £36,000 so we are continuing to fund raise. Any additional monies raised above the £14,000 will mean a lesser contribution from the school budget and all of the surplus income will be spent on our science garden!

THANK YOU!

On Saturday 19th of March local children joined EP solar ambassadors in decorating (and eating!) cupcakes and making egg decorations and nests at Greene & Co. Kentish Town.

Our Goal…

We need to raise £14,000 to put solar panels on our school roof to help the environment and save us lots of money on energy costs!

We launched Solar Schools in an  assembly in October and were joined by Keir Starmer MP.

It is a fantastic project for the environment, for our finances, for our children’s understanding of science and renewable energy and how we can work together towards our goals!

We really need everyone’s support to reach our £14,000 target – any donation small or large helps us get there. Please donate online at http://www.solarschools.org.uk/eleanorpalmer/ or we have £5 fundraising vouchers available through the school office.

We’d also love to hear any ideas you have for fundraising or if you’d like to become more involved with our Solar Schools team. Contact Sarah in the school office or on admin@eleanorpalmer.camden.sch.uk to find out more.
