Last night we were thrilled to win a Camden Business Sustainability Award in recognition of our solar panel campaign. At an event at The Crick Institute hosted by Camden Climate Change Alliance, we won the Excellence in Energy Efficiency and Carbon Reduction Award. This was in recognition of the work done by the school, our families and community friends to fundraise for our solar panel installation. Our panels have already saved 8.5 tonnes of CO2, whilst generating 15MWh of energy from a renewable source. The panel noted in particular the ‘strong sense of commitment to sustainability from the leadership, pupils and community’ and how ‘ sustainability is strongly incorporated into the curriculum’.
