Eco Animal Encounters in Year 1

Eco Animal Encounters came to Eleanor Palmer with an amazing collection of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates, from friendly tortoises to large snakes and tarantulas!

They gave a fascinating talk to Year 1 – who were extremely inquisitive! 

The session was very interactive – and many of us held the Giant African Millipede and Chilean Rose Tarantula! 

We leant lots of a facts – but best of all we really impressed Eco Animal Encounters – who couldn’t believe we were only in Year 1!! 

As Year 1 decided it was the perfect session for our ‘Am I an animal?’ topic – they wrote letters to Miss Frood requesting that she book it for next year! Their letters were written independently and were very persuasive, full of facts and included great illustrations.  Look out for them on our display!
